Why 40 Hz?

40 Hz is the gamma brainwave rhythm, the frequency associated with attention, memory and processing. Researchers, including teams at MIT’s Picower Institute for Learning and Memory, have studied what happens when the brain is gently stimulated at 40 Hz with light and sound.
