Stephen Applegate · Joyful Wellness Center · Cocoa, Florida
He turned the power down. It worked better.
Forty-two years in intensive care teach you that more is usually the answer. The best thing Stephen Applegate ever found went the other way.
A room that shouted.
Six and a half years ago, Stephen walked into a closed trailer in Inverness, Florida. A team of neuroscientists, engineers, and sound engineers had packed it with frequency, magnetism, and vibration, all built on Nikola Tesla’s ideas. They had plenty of science. They had no clinician.
So they asked a critical care nurse to be their clinical director. Stephen did what ICU nurses do. He ran head-to-toe assessments. He read the labs. And then he did the one thing nobody on the team expected.
He turned it down.
“We dropped the energy level to subtle pulsating energy, which was more effective, because it went right into the client and wasn’t bouncing off the walls.”
That room now lives in a twelve-thousand-square-foot building in Cocoa, lent by a night-shift nurse named Joy, who once told him four words: “I have a building.” The center carries her name.
Then someone shrank the room.
About a year into the center, an old friend from high school came by: Mark L Fox, founder of Resona Health. Mark brought a bag of goodies. One of them was the VIBE.
Stephen saw it right away. Same idea as the room. Quiet, pulsing, low. Only now it hung from a lanyard.
“The difference is you can carry this with you. It fills the gaps when you’re not doing your treatments here at the center.”
Every other day, and the days between.
The energy room runs every other day. That’s on purpose. “It’s pretty powerful, and you have to let the brain reset,” Stephen says. Which leaves a lot of days with nothing on them.
That is where the VIBE went. Clients heading out on vacation took one home to cover the weeks away. Clients on the every-other-day schedule wore one on the off days.
So did TJ, his wife’s Labradoodle. Energy room one day. VIBE the next, on Kidney Support, Liver Support, and General Inflammation.
“I’m telling you, the VIBE was really noticeable in the way he recovered so quickly.”
The room works on appointment. The VIBE works on everything in between.
Pick the setting that fits the night.
In the energy room, Stephen runs 158 frequencies in thirty minutes and adds the ones each person needs. The VIBE works the same way, one protocol at a time.
Four decades of night shifts wrecked his sleep. He didn’t even notice the Sleep protocol at first. The night he found it, his cat curled up on one side of the VIBE and his dog took the other. “They’re both out, and then I was out.” He slept through till five.
On the long business days he reaches for Anxiety. At bedtime, General Inflammation. “I use all kinds of settings. I’ve tried it all.”
And he checks his Kario wellness watch in the morning to see what the night looked like.
Turn the skepticism down a notch. Not off.
Stephen calls himself the most skeptical man in the building. Nothing comes through his door without research behind it. He doesn’t ask anyone to believe. He asks for a trial.
“Give it two to four weeks and see what happens. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.”
Most of his clients never gave it back. Plenty of them walk into the center wearing one.

Same quiet idea, a different setting: the night shift. Joy still works nights at the hospital and wears a BlueVibe on her wrist to stay alert and focused. “That’s for night nurses,” Stephen says.
