Most people don’t need another motivational quote. They need relief — from anxiety, from noise, from the exhaustion of trying to feel okay in a world that won’t slow down.
That’s why I wrote Go Find Joy: The Science of Calm — Erasing Anxiety with Energy Therapy.
It’s not a feel-good pep talk. It’s a field guide for anyone who’s tired of surviving and ready to reclaim peace, calm, and joy — grounded in the science of how the body actually heals.
From rocket science to nervous system healing
After decades as a Space Shuttle Chief Engineer, I never expected my next “mission control” would be the human nervous system. But anxiety is a global epidemic — the number one ailment in the world — and our current solutions aren’t working.
So, I applied the same engineering mindset that used to send rockets into orbit to a new problem: how to help people and pets reset their nervous systems safely and affordably.
That work led to discovering PEMF therapy — Pulsed Electromagnetic Field technology — which gently helps the body move out of chronic stress (fight-or-flight) and back into balance.
Go Find Joy shares that journey and the practical tools anyone can use to shift from chaos to calm.
What the book teaches
This book unfolds in three parts:
Part One: Rethink Anxiety
Why so many of us are stuck in defense mode — and how chronic stress rewires your brain, body, and emotions.
Part Two: Ready to Reboot?
How energy therapy (like PEMF) helps your cells, vagus nerve, and brain transition from “stress” to “restore.” You’ll see how frequency-based healing works — and why it’s not voodoo, but physics.
Part Three: Make Room for Joy
Once calm becomes your new normal, joy starts to appear everywhere — in the smallest moments, like a laugh, a sunrise, or a drive with someone you love. You’ll learn how to build a calm-centered life and use PEMF to make that state your daily baseline.
Each chapter ends with Key Takeaways and real stories from people who found healing and balance through this work.
Joy begins where calm becomes normal
Joy isn’t something you chase — it’s what naturally returns when your body stops bracing for impact.
When your nervous system shifts from S for stress (sympathetic) to P for peace (parasympathetic), everything changes: cortisol drops, sleep improves, relationships deepen, and clarity returns.
That’s the real gift of calm — not the absence of anxiety, but the presence of joy, woven quietly into daily life
Why now
I’m 64, and I don’t have forever to get this message out. Too many people are walking around with anxiety that could be eased — not with another prescription, but with knowledge, curiosity, and a willingness to take ownership of their health.
This book is my way of turning up the volume on a message that can change lives:
You are not broken. You just need to reboot your system.
Your first step toward joy
When you finish reading Go Find Joy, you’ll have a roadmap — not a ritual — for what to do next:
-
Pause and Notice. Take one mindful breath and ask, “Where is joy in this moment?”
-
Choose a Joy Practice. Gratitude, laughter, connection — pick one and do it consistently.
-
Support Your Body and Mind. Try PEMF therapy with the VIBE — a gentle, science-based way to restore balance and open the door to more energy, clarity, and joy
-
Joy isn’t the destination. It’s the fuel for the journey.
A personal note
If this book does one thing, I hope it gives you hope — the quiet kind that says, “Maybe I can feel good again.”
Because you can.
It starts with calm. It grows with consistency. And it ends with you rediscovering the joy that’s been there all along — waiting for you to notice.
